SikaTack® Panel is an adhesive system for the concealed installation of facade panels, providing an invisible, flexible, and durable bond for cladding on ventilated curtain walls. The system consists of a one-component polyurethane adhesive, SikaTack® Panel Fixing Tape, and surface preparation products—Sika® Aktivator-205 and SikaTack® Panel Primer. This design allows for a clean facade without visible mechanical fasteners, preserving design freedom and a high level of aesthetics.
The system is designed to work with a wide range of cladding materials, including HPL panels, aluminum composite panels, fiber cement, ceramics, porcelain stoneware, and natural stone. After curing, the adhesive joint remains permanently elastic, compensates for thermal deformations and dynamic loads, and does not create localized stress concentrations typical of rivets and screws. The adhesive’s performance characteristics include a tensile strength of 2.5 MPa, a shear strength of 2.0 MPa, an operating temperature range from -40°C to +90°C, and an application temperature range from +10°C to +35°C.
For proper installation, surfaces must be dry, clean, and free of grease, and the system itself must be applied in accordance with the recommended curing times and environmental conditions. SikaTack® Panel ensures quick installation, reduces the weight of the facade by allowing the use of thin cladding panels, and is suitable for projects where reliability, durability, and stability in harsh climatic conditions are critical. Thanks to the combination of adhesive, tape, and primers, the system provides a technically controlled solution for modern ventilated facades with hidden fasteners.
