TYPES OF SURFACES

Very good adhesion to most building materials without priming, e.g. concrete, stone, terracotta, fiber cement, plaster, screeds, building ceramics, lacquered or impregnated wood, MDF, HDF, cork, plywood, chipboard, enameled steel, stainless steel, aluminum, zinc, copper, lead, glaze, terracotta, porcelain stoneware, glass, glass blocks, sanitary ceramics, porcelain, PVC, polyurethane, HPL, and similar plastic materials.

SURFACE PREPARATION

The substrate must be clean and free of grease. Before use on plastic substrates or painted surfaces, it is recommended to perform an adhesion test. For bonding to highly porous or highly absorbent surfaces, use Bostik Universal Primer T300. After priming, wait at least 15 minutes (maximum 4 hours) before applying the compound. Concrete must be fully cured and seasoned. The edges of the joint can be protected with masking tape to avoid contamination. The tape should be removed immediately after applying the compound and profiling its surface. Use Bostik Finishing Soap T500 to level the joint surface. The joint should be shaped so that water can flow freely along it.

HOW TO USE

When using the product as an adhesive, apply in parallel vertical strips with small gaps (5-15 cm, depending on the size of the elements being bonded), at least 5 cm from the edge of the elements being bonded. Do not apply in dots. Join the surfaces to be bonded. Support heavy elements or otherwise protect them from movement until preliminary hardening. For this purpose, you can use 3 mm thick double-sided adhesive tape, which will additionally provide ventilation between the surfaces being bonded. When using the product as a sealant, apply the compound slowly, from bottom to top, carefully filling the entire cross-section of the gap so as not to trap air in it. Profile the surface of the compound with a spatula and smooth it within 30 minutes after application. The speed of curing depends on the ambient temperature and humidity. As the temperature and humidity increase, the polymerization process proceeds faster. In addition, the curing time depends on the cross-section of the joint. Ensure effective ventilation until the joint is completely cured.

SEAM DIMENSIONS

Joints should be designed taking into account the required degree of movement and the ability of the joint filler to transfer these deformations. The depth of the joint should always be proportional to its width. For joint widths up to 10 mm, this ratio should be 1:1 (the minimum joint width and depth is 5 mm). For joints wider than 10 mm, the depth [mm] = (width [mm] / 3) + 6 mm.

TOOLS

Manual or pneumatic gun

CONSUMPTION

100 ml / 1 m of joint with a cross-section of 10 mm x 10 mm = 100 mm2. Multiplying the joint width (mm) by the joint depth (mm), we obtain the number of milliliters / 1 m.

CLEANSING

Fresh stains can be removed using Bostik Universal Cleaner T100. Hardened material can only be removed mechanically. Use special Bostik Cleaning Wipes T150 to clean your hands.

NOTES

Read the information on the label and in the product safety data sheet. Do not use on surfaces that are constantly in contact with water, in chlorinated swimming pools, on PE, PP, PC, PMMA, PTFE, neoprene, mirrors, aquariums, bituminous surfaces, EPDM, natural rubber, natural stone, and so-called soft plastics (oils, plasticizers, or solvents that are released can damage the seam). In the case of materials of unknown type, conglomerates, plastics, laminates, lacquer coatings, powder paints, or impregnated surfaces, perform an adhesion test in an inconspicuous place and assess the suitability of the product for the intended application. Avoid exposure to high concentrations of chlorine. Do not use in case of large temperature fluctuations (movement during curing). Always apply the adhesive in strips, maintaining intervals and ensuring effective ventilation. Otherwise, the adhesive will only cure at the edges and remain uncured in the middle, which may reduce the strength of the bond and cause discoloration of sensitive or vulnerable substrates. The product is extremely resistant to UV radiation. However, if possible, for external seals, it is recommended to use the product under a roof or in conditions that limit direct exposure to UV radiation. In case of prolonged or excessive exposure to UV radiation and chemical loads, the joint may change color and gradually lose its mechanical stability. Do not use on lacquered glass, window glazing, structural glazing, sanitary seals (in areas subject to constant exposure to water), or structural joints (load-bearing joints). Do not paint. If in doubt, always test the product before use and assess its suitability for the intended application.

SHELF LIFE

15 months from the date of manufacture. Store in the original sealed packaging in a dry and cool place at a temperature between +5°C and +25°C. Stable during transport at temperatures down to -15°C.
